We are beginning some campaign playtesting now, having run the subsystems through their paces over the past few weeks, and a coherent text is emerging at the wiki there that will constitute the book when we get to that stage. Our current intent is to publish at Lulu in softcover black and white, perfect bound, using the 6x9 format so that it sits nicely beside your Spirit of the Century book. I've recently heard some folks voicing issues relating to Lulu and shipments outside the US, however. We would be happy to use another (or multiple) POD services if there are some that are better for some potential players -- if you have a preference then let me know and I'll research it a little. Right now I think we're looking at around 150 or so pages of material. -- Brad Murray (halfjack) Moderation is a memory From flynnbox at gmail.com Tue Nov 18 12:08:19 2008 From: flynnbox at gmail.com (Adam Flynn) Date: Tue, 18 Nov 2008 14:08:19 -0500 Subject: [Sotff] State of the Diaspora In-Reply-To: <889263490811181046i8060608se1c451091eb45b96@mail.gmail.com> References: <889263490811181046i8060608se1c451091eb45b96@mail.gmail.com> Message-ID: Very excited to hear that. Reason for asking is I'm off to a convention on Thursday until Sunday and will be without internet access. I'd very much like to have the text to read over and maybe also do some playtesting with. If push comes to shove I'll just do a lot of cutting and pasting :) Oh yeah, it looks awesome. Can't wait to order a hard copy. Neil. The stuff under "Proposed Structure" is very linear, though, with no cross references worth following and represents what will be the source of the book text. You should be able to cut and paste from there without too much effort. We're trying to avoid going to any non-wiki format until the bulk of the collaborative writing is done as going to typeset early was a bit of a logistic burden while we were producing SotFF. > Oh yeah, it looks awesome.
